Dome Opening! MP comes to school!
On 11th May Windy Nook invited Sharon Hodgson MP, and the creator of the Windy Nook Nature Park, Bill Elliott, to a special event.
Sharon came to officially open the willow dome and announce the winner of the Nature Park logo.
Later that morning Caroline interviewed Sharon Hodgson.
Q. Do you think it is a good idea to build the willow dome, and if yes, why?
A. Yes it will be lovely to have a space to go, children will like it more as they built it.
Q. Have you been to any other schools to open anything similar?
A. No nothing similar, but I went to Fell Dyke to open a new children's centre.
Q. What were your feelings when you were asked to open the willow dome?
A. I was honoured and proud because it is part of my community.
Q. Have you enjoyed opening the willow dome?
A. Yes thank you.
