Well done to our school football team. They played with great spirit (as always) and are now through to the final. Played 3, won 3, can’t beat that.

The Invincibles!
Gone, but certainly not forgotten. I was cleaning up some old files and found this. They have all left now, but school should be about leaving behind positive experiences for people to reminisce (had to use dictionary here, ha ha) about.
Great footballers…and even better children. Oh and not forgetting that they went the whole season unbeaten.
Football Presentation Night 2012
Yet again it was another successful season for our football players.
Our Year 5s came runners up in the Year 5 competition (with the help of some Year 4s).
Then our first team easily won the the indoor 5 a-side competition against some good opposition.
…and then more success in the Summer League. Winning Division 1.
Well done and thank you to everyone who has been involved with our football teams this season…roll on next season.
We are the Champions.
Let’s hope that England can do as well as this lot?
Here are our some of our Year 5 girls. They participated in an all girls football tournament last week…and what do you know they went and won it. What a fantastic performance and attitude from everyone. Well Done girls.
Year 5 reach the final
A big ‘Well Done’ to some of of Year 5 and 4 boys and girl. They easily won their qualifying group to reach the final of the Year 5 competition…and they played their hearts out. Great attitudes and teamwork again to finish very creditable runners up. Well Done once again.
It’s about time we had some football on here!
Well, that’s it, i’ve waited long enough. Especially for all of you ‘footy fans’ out there. This was our Indoor 5 a-side team after winning all three of their qualifying games to go through to the final. Watch this space to find out what happens.

Demba visits Windy
Here at Windy Nook our ‘Press Pack’ have been lucky enough to be mixing with the stars! Newcastle’s recent hatrick hero – Demba Ba visited our school as part of Newcastle United’s Family Learning programme. The children really enjoyed interviewing and learning about how he became a footballer. How ever will they cope in lessons tomorrow mixing with their teachers???!!! Definitely journalists in the making.
Why don’t you look out for some of their questions they asked Demba in Saturday’s Sun newspaper and even on Sunday’s Match of the Day.
