Friends in the North

Year 5/6 were rolling back the years this afternoon.

Three friends we made through our involvement with the 'That Was Then' local history project, came to speak to us about a host of experiences linked to living through World War II.

Congratulations on an excellent school website - this is one of the neatest and most interactive school sites that I've ever seen!

I was delighted to hear from Mr. Firth this morning, who told me about lots of the wonderful things your school is doing about climate change and the environment - I'm especially excited about your 'Environment Week' and the work you are doing to reduce energy use in your school, too! Mr. Firth and I were both present at last week's 'Sustainble Schools' conference, a wonderful event put on by Gateshead Council.

Hope to see you invovled in the Climate Change Schools Project in 2009-2010! Keep up the great work!

With kind regards,
Krista
