Off and Running!

What is it about the sun shining on the righteous?
As the Windy Nook Gardening Gang kicked off the Clarks and slipped on the wellies, you could not miss the cracking of the clouds and the bursting through of sunshine!

Two hours of hard graft later what had we done?

We picked some leeks!

We spread the chippings from our pond work around the paths which run through the top orchard.

...and to protect against frost (in March!) and reduce the nutrient pinching grass... we mulched the orchard trees!

Not to mention trimming the willow dome, willow screen and willow fence.

'What you wasted willow cuttings' we her you ask.
Oh no, we planted the willow clippings in the raised bed area. So save your loose change, the infamous Windy Nook Willow Stars should be back by Christmas Panto time!
