This week we have been making biscuits as part of our Design Technology work. If you'd like to have a go at making some at home, here's the basic recipe:

250g butter
140g caster sugar
1 egg yolk
300g plain flour

1. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
2. Add the egg yolk and flour, and beat to combine.
3. Add extras such as chocolate chips, cocoa powder, peanut butter or vanilla. If you are planning on making shaped biscuits, chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
4. Shape the biscuits.
5. Bake the biscuits at 180 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes.

Me and my Mum really enjoyed making the biscuits and my Dad and Lloyd enjoyed eating them!

Wow, Class 11 have been busy. Nice to see you are getting the chance to do practical and fun activities - not just rehearsing for SAT's like schools do!

I love the idea of having the recipe online. It meant I could have a go at home with Tom. You did forget one thing though...

Class 10's buscuits tasted the best!
